Will great power competition in the South Atlantic spill into Antarctica?

Bruno Arpi and Dr A. J. Press published an analysis with the Australian Institute of International Affairs on whether competition between the United States, China and Russia in South America could spill over into Antarctica.
Bruno Arpi, a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Law and the Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies (IMAS) at the University of Tasmania and a member of the Network of Argentine Scientists in Australia, together with Dr AJ (Tony) Press, former Director of the Australian Antarctic Division, recently published an analysis with the Australian Institute of International Affairs entitled Will Great Power Competition in the South Atlantic Spill Into Antarctica?.
The piece assesses whether competition between the great powers —the United States, China and Russia— in South America, and in Argentina in particular, could carry over into Antarctica.
